新潟大学歯学部は,2024年5月31日・6月1日の2日間の日程で,タイ・マヒドン大学歯学部(部局間交流協定締結校)との共催により国際シンポジウム「International Collaborative Symposium on Development of Human Resources in Practical Oral Health and Treatment 2024」をタイ・バンコクにて開催しました。
The Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University hosted the “International Collaborative Symposium on Development of Human Resources in Practical Oral Health and Treatment 2024” from May 31 to June 1, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. This symposium was co-hosted with the Faculty of Dentistry at Mahidol University.

このシンポジウムは,口腔保健,歯科医療分野における若手人材育成とアジア地域を中心とした共同研究ネットワーク形成を目的に本学歯学部が開催しているもので,今回で14回目を迎えました。
コロナ禍での中断を経て,昨年,オンラインにより再開し,今回4年ぶりに各国から多くの研究者が一堂に会し開催されました。
本学歯学部からは,教職員23名,大学院生24名が参加し,アジア各国,地域からはASEAN諸国をはじめ,香港,台湾,ネパールから,欧州からはルーマニアからも参加者があり,各大学歯学部長を含め総勢150名以上の研究者が集いました。

Report(Written in English)
Now in its 14th session, this symposium aims to nurture young oral health researchers and establish a collaborative research network across the world, especially Asia. After a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it resumed online last year and was held in-person this year for the first time in four years, bringing together many researchers from various countries.
From the Faculty of Dentistry at Niigata University, 23 faculty members and 24 graduate students participated in the symposium. Additionally, over 150 researchers attended from various regions (including deans of dental schools), such as ASEAN countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nepal, and Romania.

Poster Session
On June 1, the Deans’ Meeting was held, where participants exchanged views on the development of international collaborative research and the exchange of students and young researchers. Many expressed a strong desire for strengthened collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University.

Moving forward, the Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University will continue to promote international exchange through these symposiums.
