Molecular Analysis of Virulence Mechanisms in Pneumococcal Pneumonia
Severe pneumococcal pneumonia reportedly causes lung injury. In this regard, we strive to discover new therapeutic targets, such as host-derived enzymes, for controlling pneumococcal infections. Furthermore, we are performing exploratory research to identify new protein targets for the pneumococcal vaccine and host enzyme-targeted research for treatment of pneumococcal infections (Photo 1). We are also researching and developing safe disinfectants and their manufacturing equipment (Photo 2).
